Installing Using an S VIDEO Cable

To install your PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system using an S VIDEO cable:

  1. Connect the cables

    Connect the flat end of the S VIDEO cable to the AV MULTI OUT connector on the back of the PlayStation®2.


  • Connect the other end of the cable to the S VIDEO input on the back of your TV: the black plug goes into the port marked S VIDEO IN and the white and red plugs go into the ports marked AUDIO IN.


  • Connect the AC adaptor to the AC power cord and then connect the other end of the AC adaptor to the back of the PlayStation®2 system.


  • Plug the AC power cord into a working electrical outlet.


  1. Start the system

    Press the on/standby/RESET button on the front of the PlayStation® 2 system. Make sure the indicator light turns green.


  • Press the open button on the front of the system and place a disc in the disc tray. Press down gently on the disc until all three tabs on the disc holder are above the surface of the disc. Then press the "PUSH" label on the disc cover to close it.


  1. Set up the TV

    Turn on your TV.


  • Press the TV/Video button on your TV�s remote control. The TV/Video button might also be called the Input, AUX, or Line button. Use the setting you would if you were going to watch a movie.

    NOTE: You might need to set your TV or VCR to channel 00, 90, 91, or 92.
