PlayStation®2 30000 - 50000 Series / Network Adaptor
Registering the Network Adaptor
Network Adaptor (Ethernet/Modem) (for PlayStation®2) registrants
must be 13 years of age or older to register. Users under the age of 13
must have their parents or guardian register them by phone.
To register your network adaptor:
- Install your network adaptor on your
PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.
- Insert a memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2) in memory card slot 1.
- On the Main Menu screen press
and a message
will appear about the memory card. Press
to
continue.
NOTE: You need at least 137 KB of free space on your memory card
to register the network adaptor.
- If your network adaptor has been installed properly, the message
"Found network adaptor" will appear. Press
to continue.
- Enter your age using the on-screen keypad, select Enter, and press
.
- On the next screen, press the Select button on the DUALSHOCK®2 analog
controller to review the SCEA Privacy Policy.
- Press
to agree with the
policy and continue with the registration.
- Press
if you disagree with the policy and want to cancel the
registration.
- Using the on-screen keyboard, enter your first name, last name, birth
date, and email address. After you enter each line, select Enter, and
press
to continue.
NOTE: You can use a USB keyboard to enter your registration
information by plugging it into one of the USB connectors on
the front of the PlayStation®2 system.
- Press
to save your registration
to your memory card.
- Create a network configuration. Please see
Create a network configuration.
- The registration information is sent when the network configuration is
complete.
NOTE: You can also register by phone by calling, 1-800-345-SONY
(7669) and speaking to a consumer service representative.
Users under the age of 13 must have their parents or guardian
register them by phone.
