Installing the Network Adaptor (Ethernet/Modem)

NOTE: The simplified instructions below are intended to assist users in installing the network adaptor (Ethernet/modem) (for PlayStation®2) in the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. For your safety, carefully read the instruction manual supplied with your network adaptor before attempting installation.


To connect the network adaptor to the PlayStation®2 system:

  1. Before installing the network adaptor, unplug the console from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove the expansion bay cover from the back of the PlayStation®2, using the indentation at the top of the expansion bay cover for grip. Keep the expansion bay cover for future use.

  1. Remove the clear plastic connector cover from the electrical connector on the back of the network adaptor. Gently place the network adaptor in position over the expansion bay on the PlayStation®2.

  1. Fasten the network adaptor to the PlayStation®2 by using a coin to gently turn the screws clockwise. Tighten the screws evenly by switching from side to side.

    NOTE: Do not over-tighten the screws or use a screwdriver, which can damage the screw threads on the PlayStation®2 and the network adaptor.
