PlayStation®2 30000 - 50000 Series / Network Adaptor

Connecting to a Router

To connect the network adaptor (Ethernet/modem) (for PlayStation®2) to a router:

  1. Install the network adaptor in the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. For instructions, see Installing the Network Adaptor.
  2. Remove the sticker covering the network connector on the network adaptor and plug an Ethernet network cable in the connector labeled "NETWORK".
  3. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into an available LAN port of the router.
  4. Connect the WAN port of the router to the DSL or cable modem.
  5. Connect a personal computer to an available LAN port of the router. Use a web browser on the computer to setup the router to access the internet.
  6. Plug the AC power cord for the PlayStation®2 into a working electrical outlet.
  7. Turn on the system and load the Network Adaptor Start-up Disc came with the network adaptor.
