Keep your PSP® System Software up-to-date so your PSP®
(PlayStation® Portable) system will continue to evolve. Find out what's
included in the most recent system software update
and update yours today.
To find out the version your PSP® system software:
- Select
(System Settings) under
(Settings) from the home menu, then select
System Information.
- The System Software field will display the version number of the system
software installed on your PSP®.
Note: Some games and media require that you update your system
software version before you can use them. If so, the required system update
is often included on the UMD™ (Universal Media
Disc) game disc.
When you are using your PSP® to perform operations that require saving
data to or reading data from the Memory Stick Duo™, it's important that
you don't run out of battery power in the middle of the operation. We
recommend you fully charge the battery pack before updating the PSP®
system software.
To check how much battery power is available:
Check the battery charge level displayed on the top right of the screen.
Estimating the remaining battery power:
Plenty of battery power remaining
Battery power is getting low
Battery power has almost run out
No battery power remains (the power indicator will flash green)
